Description
Alagappa’s rasam powder is used to prepare a popular south Indian dish called rasam. It can also be added to curries, vegetable dishes, soups or stews toward the end of cooking to impart a typical south Indian flavour to the dish.
Detailed Description: Alagappa’s rasam powder it includes coriander seeds, chana dal (Bengal gram), tuvar or arhar dal (pigeon pea lentils), black peppercorns, cumin seeds, dried red chilies and turmeric powder (optional). Adding Rasam Powder imparts more depths of flavor to the rasam, and also makes it nice and earthy.
